Lessons are conducted through structured one-hour weekly sessions with the same assigned teacher to ensure consistency in learning, steady musical progress, and long-term mentorship.

Each lesson is carefully tailored to the individual student’s level, learning style, strengths, and educational goals.

Strong emphasis is placed on building a solid musical foundation, particularly in:

  • Hand technique
  • Note reading
  • Beat counting and rhythm development
  • Basic music theory
  • Musical understanding and interpretation

Students receive both written and practical homework assignments each week to reinforce learning, encourage disciplined practice habits, and support continuous progress between lessons.

Piano is not only about learning notes. It teaches:

1. Patience

2. Discipline

3. Concentration

4. Problem-Solving

5. Confidence

6. Perseverance

Answers

Frequently asked questions

How long is each piano lesson?

One full hour. That gives us enough room to cover pieces, technique and either ear training or sight reading without rushing any of it.

Do you teach complete beginners?

Yes. Beginner lessons start with piano pieces, note flashcards with music listening, and basic theory. No prior experience is needed.

What happens at the interview?

We talk before any lessons are booked. I learn what the student can already do and what they'd like to play, and you get to ask me whatever you need to know about how I teach.

Do you teach graded levels?

I teach from beginner right through Grade 1–3, Grade 5–8, and Grade 6 and above, with the content of each hour adjusted to the student's level.

Are lessons the same for every student?

No. Lessons are well organized and structured, but I tailor-make them to each student. The mix varies depending on that student's weaknesses and strengths.

When is the studio open?

Monday to Friday, 10:00am to 8:30pm, and Sunday 10:00am to 4:30pm. The studio is closed on Saturdays.
