Question 1

Why do you text rather than call?

Accepted Answer

I'm teaching for most of the day, so a call usually goes to voicemail. A text lets me read your details properly and reply with real interview times between students.

Question 2

Does the interview cost anything or commit me to lessons?

Accepted Answer

No. The interview is there so you can meet me, see how I teach, and decide. There's no obligation to book lessons afterward.

Question 3

What if my child has never played piano before?

Accepted Answer

That's completely fine — just write 'no background' in your message. Beginners are a large part of what I teach, and the interview is where we figure out a sensible starting point.

Question 4

Do you teach adults as well as children?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Get in touch the same way and tell me what you'd like to be able to play. I've taught adult beginners throughout my 30-plus years of teaching.

Question 5

Where is the studio located?

Accepted Answer

In south Edmonton. I share the exact address when we confirm your interview time.

Question 6

How quickly will I hear back?

Accepted Answer

Usually within a day. If your message includes the full name, age, and piano background, I can often propose an interview time in my first reply.
